Law Enforcement Guidelines

This Law Enforcement Request Policy explains how Hoogsy responds to requests from law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, and other authorized governmental bodies.

Hoogsy is committed to protecting user privacy while complying with applicable laws and valid legal requests.

1. Submitting a Law Enforcement Request

Law enforcement agencies and other competent governmental authorities may submit requests by email to:

Email: contact@hoogsy.com

Requests should be submitted from an official government or law enforcement email address whenever possible.

We may request additional verification before processing any request to confirm the identity and authority of the requesting agency.

2. Information Required

To enable us to process a request efficiently, requests should include, where applicable:

  1. Name of the requesting agency;

  2. Name and title of the requesting officer;

  3. Official government or law enforcement email address;

  4. Legal basis for the request;

  5. Description of the investigation;

  6. Username, profile URL, email address, or other identifiers relating to the requested account;

  7. The specific information requested;

  8. Relevant date range;

  9. Any applicable court order, warrant, subpoena, or other legal documentation where required by law.

Incomplete requests may require additional clarification before they can be processed.

3. Review Process

Every request is reviewed by our Compliance team to determine whether:

  1. The request originates from a competent authority;

  2. The request complies with applicable laws;

  3. The requested disclosure is legally permitted or required;

  4. The scope of the request is reasonable and proportionate.

Where appropriate, Hoogsy may request additional information before responding.

4. Preservation Requests

Where permitted by applicable law, Hoogsy may preserve account information and related records upon receipt of a valid preservation request from a competent authority.

Preservation of information does not constitute disclosure of user data and does not guarantee that requested information will ultimately be released.

5. Emergency Requests

Where there is a good-faith belief that an emergency involving imminent danger of death, serious physical injury, child sexual exploitation, human trafficking, or another significant threat to public safety exists, Hoogsy may review emergency disclosure requests on an expedited basis.

Emergency requests should clearly describe:

  1. The nature of the emergency;

  2. The immediate risk involved;

  3. The account or user concerned;

  4. The specific information requested.

Emergency requests are evaluated individually and processed as quickly as reasonably possible.

6. International Requests

Requests from authorities outside the jurisdictions in which Hoogsy operates must comply with applicable international legal procedures and relevant laws.

Where required, Hoogsy may request that foreign authorities use the appropriate legal cooperation mechanisms before information can be disclosed.

7. User Notification

Unless prohibited by law, court order, or where doing so could create a risk of harm or interfere with an investigation, Hoogsy may notify affected users before disclosing their information to law enforcement authorities.

8. Types of Information That May Be Disclosed

Subject to applicable law and a valid legal request, Hoogsy may disclose information including:

  1. Basic account information;

  2. Registration details;

  3. Profile information;

  4. Account activity;

  5. IP address logs;

  6. Login history;

  7. Content or communications where legally permitted;

  8. Other information specifically requested and legally required.

Only information that is legally permitted or required to be disclosed will be provided.
